It's hard to find a decent korean place in downtown seattle and this is the place to go in this neighborhood!
Full traditional korean menu here with a lot of good options for soups, bibimbap and bulgogi dishes. They have lunch special for the downtown work people Monday to Friday too.
Food is a 4 star location is a 5 star. I mean there are a ton of options in the north end like Edmonds and Lynnwood for korean food but in seattle downtown area, you have to come to this one to get your korean food craving fix! -

Soondooboo was whatever, they don't serve with an egg here.
They charge extra for rice if you don't speak Korean.
Main lady put the check on my table while I was still eating and urged me to sign the receipt before rushing me out (was here an hr before close).
Overall weak play. -

Hate to say it!!! But food here is mediocre at best and at the same level as any Korean food you can get in Seattle. I find myself coming back more often than I'd like simply because my friends like Korean food more than I do and I make compromises.
There is nothing that is particularly special here and at the cost of parking in Belltown I only wish it were different. -

My curiosity was first piqued when I realized a Korean restaurant was in my new neighborhood, and the relatively positive reviews helped to bring me in.
To stack on a few other reviewers, yes, many Korean (and other Asian) restaurants can be inconsistent with their friendliness or customer service. It's kind of the norm, and for me as long as the food that's coming out is tasty and the prices aren't gauging my cravings, I'm game to try.
That said, I've been here twice and the reception has been fine. They can get busy pretty quickly, especially before the lunch and dinner rushes. I've been here before the dinner rush, and in the mid afternoon and each time the food has been quick to come out and flavorful. I love that you get Pajeon as one of your banchan (side dishes), the first restaurant I've been to that offers it, so automatic star.
Prices are decent (I usually see how much a restaurant charges their bulgogi and japchae, dishes that really shouldn't be more than $15), there's a good amount of seating, and the menu is plentiful.
If you're coming with a group, try to get there early as many of the tables will go. If a party of two or even a solo diner arrive before the rush, the restaurant usally lets diners choose their own tables so a larger table may not be available.
Tip:
Don't be that person who, while trying to clarify what a menu item is, compares said item to a typical standard American dish. It's one thing if its once or twice, but for every single menu item? Save the workers time, and put that smart phone to use with looking up the dishes yourself. -

I will NEVER recommend this restaurant to anyone on this Earth, even if they decided to give out free entrees, alcohol, and side dishes. The rude, disrespectful, and angry ajummas that cook in the back are the epitome of so many things I hate about Korean cultural norms. The food is good, but their attitude is totally unacceptable.
Today, I placed an order for the spicy rice cakes and ramen, which is normally both a delicious and nostalgic dish. However, this time the noodles were very overcooked and mushy, making it unpleasant to eat. I kindly asked if they could remake the dish and explained the overcooked texture of the noodles being the reason. The server came back and said that the ajummas refused to remake the dish. I explained that I would even PAY for another bowl prepared the way they have always made it in the past. She again came back and said that they STILL refuse to make it over and told me to order something else.
As a customer that literally eats at this restaurant every single week, ordering the same exact dishes, I think I would deserve at least some grace. These women are so similar to the stubborn, rude, and unforgiving Korean ladies I grew up around and they have definitely lost this previously loyal customer. I will NEVER be returning.
